This module will introduce the field of psycho-oncology, highlighting its importance in comprehensive cancer care. Participants will learn effective communication techniques, including how to deliver difficult news with empathy and support, ensuring that patients and their families are well-informed and emotionally supported throughout the cancer journey.
Participants will gain skills in psychological assessment and screening, using evidence-based tools to identify distress, anxiety, and depression in cancer patients. This module will cover the implementation of standardized screening protocols and the interpretation of assessment results to inform treatment planning.
This module focuses on therapeutic strategies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relaxation techniques tailored for cancer patients. Participants will learn how to apply these interventions to help patients manage psychological symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Participants will explore the neurocognitive side effects of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment. The module covers assessment methods and management strategies to address and mitigate these cognitive changes, enhancing patients’ cognitive functioning and overall well-being.
This module addresses the long-term physical and psychosocial health issues faced by cancer survivors. Participants will learn to develop and implement support strategies that address these challenges, promoting long-term health and well-being in survivors.
Participants will delve into the complications specific to various cancer sites, with a particular focus on the central nervous system. This module covers the identification, assessment, and management of these complications to provide targeted and effective patient care.
This module explores the unique psychological and social challenges faced by children with cancer and their families. Participants will learn to provide age-appropriate psychological support, address family dynamics, and create supportive environments for pediatric cancer patients.
Participants will receive an overview of various psychotherapies used in cancer care, including their theoretical foundations and practical applications. The module will equip participants with the skills to integrate these psychotherapies into their clinical practice to support cancer patients effectively.
This module emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment and rehabilitation. Participants will learn to create individualized rehabilitation plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of cancer patients, facilitating comprehensive recovery and quality of life improvement.
Participants will learn to recognize and manage common psychiatric disorders in cancer patients, such as depression and anxiety. This module covers evidence-based management strategies, including pharmacological and psychotherapeutic approaches.
This module addresses the ethical dilemmas that can arise in psycho-oncology and the importance of cultural competence in cancer care. Participants will learn to navigate these issues sensitively and ethically, ensuring respectful and culturally appropriate patient interactions.

Ms. Mansi Yadav

Ms. Mansi Yadav is a distinguished educator and psychologist specializing in psycho-oncology, known for her impactful contributions to counseling, teaching, and research. With extensive experience as a Psycho-Oncologist at Metro Hospital and Cancer Institute Preet Vihar, she has applied her expertise to support cancer patients and their families. Ms. Yadav has authored five papers in esteemed journals and presented 14 papers at national and international conferences, demonstrating her commitment to advancing psychological understanding in healthcare settings. Her dedication to education is underscored by her role as Assistant Professor at GD Goenka University and CEO of the VIDYA ANANDA Organization, where she continues to inspire through her research-driven approach and compassionate care in psycho-oncology.

Dr. Sundeep Katevarapu

Dr. Sundeep Katevarapu is a distinguished figure in psychology, specializing in clinical, neuro, and forensic domains with over a decade of experience. He holds advanced degrees including Masters in Cognitive Science, Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, Clinical & Counseling Psychology, Neuro Forensic and Criminal Investigation, an International MBA in Hospital Administration, and dual doctoral degrees (PhD and PsyD) in Neuro Forensic Psychology.

As Founder & Chief Managing Director of We Avec U Group of Companies, he leads organizational activities with precision, emphasizing mental health enhancement at individual and community levels. Board-certified as a Behavior Analyst and Criminal Investigator, Dr. Katevarapu applies his expertise in collaboration with renowned hospitals. Final Evaluation and Certification Process

The final evaluation will be based on a final exam (50% weightage) and self-work and participation in classes (30% self-work + 20% participation).

Students must have at least 80% attendance in the course to be eligible for receiving the certification.

After completing the course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Students who opt for the optional ICPEM certification (for an additional 2000 INR) will receive that certification along with the certification from We Avec U.

Students enrolling only for the course (4500 INR) will receive the Certificate of Completion from We Avec U.

The payment for the ICPEM certification can be made anytime until the completion of the course.
